Care

Residential Care

We provide residential care to service users who require support with the activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, medication supervision, cooking, cleaning, and mobility which can no longer be managed at home.

Respite Care

Respite care is a service for people who wish to stay with us on a short term basis. This can be for people who need a little extra support whilst recovering from an illness or operation and can be for two weeks or a few months. Respite stays can also be arranged to give the carer of someone who is unable to look after themselves a well-earned rest.

At Neville House, we firmly believe that the body and the mind are very closely linked and that keeping the body active, even for those who are perhaps less mobile than they once were, can also do wonders for their state of mind. As such, we have an Activities Team whose role it is to run a programme of pastimes to stimulate both body and mind.

We like to keep things varied, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy:

  • Live music and dancing
  • Bingo, quizzes, card games, arts & crafts
  • Local day trips
  • Reminiscence Therapy
  • Light aerobic exercise to music
  • Visits from local religious figures

We are also able to offer the following additional services:

  • Physiotherapy, Occupational and Speech Therapy
  • Podiatry
  • Aromatherapy & Reflexology
  • Hairdresser
  • Beautician
  • Library Services
  • Outings/Social Activities

At Neville House, we understand that good quality, nutritious food as an important component for health and well-being in all our residents’ lives.

The cuisine at the Home is all locally sourced and freshly prepared each day. Our chefs provide a varied and balanced menu and happily cater to special diets and preferences, where requested. Fresh fruit and vegetables from our local suppliers are offered daily.

All dishes are cooked on the premises in our well-equipped and clean kitchen. Drinks and snacks are also served throughout the day.

Residents can choose to enjoy the social aspect of mealtimes by taking their meals in our comfortable dining room or in the privacy of their own rooms if they so choose.

We have seasonal menus and also do special menus for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
