Bramble Lodge is situated within scenic gardens in West Hallam, Derbyshire. Bramble Lodge has established an enviable reputation for providing high quality care in a homely environment by placing the comfort of our residents as our priority. We ensure that a good quality of life is maintained through activities and social events, combined with excellent facilities and personalised care planning.
At Bramble Lodge, we have a very experienced Home Manager in Paula who always aims to go above and beyond to ensure the delivery of best possible care to all our residents. We are registered with Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide residential and dementia care for up to 65 individuals above the age of 65 years.
We have been inspected by independent organisations and are proud to announce that we have been awarded the following:
Derbyshire Country Council – ‘Derbyshire Premium Award’ awarded in recognition of the performance and delivery of Dementia Care to achieve the 15 Dementia Care Standards
Derbyshire County Council – ‘Derbyshire Dignity Campaign Award’ in recognition of work to promote dignity and respect.
We provide residential care to service users who require support with the activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, medication supervision, cooking, cleaning, and mobility which can no longer be managed at home.
We offer a specialised service for people living with dementia and our aim is to make our home your home.
We focus on a person’s key strengths, helping resident’s live active and fulfilling lives. Residents experiencing dementia can have difficulty communicating, which in turn can lead to a sense of isolation. Our teams are there to help find ways in which they can re-engage with their families, friends and the community as a whole.
Respite care is a service for people who wish to stay with us on a short term basis. This can be for people who need a little extra support whilst recovering from an illness or operation and can be for two weeks or a few months. Respite stays can also be arranged to give the carer of someone who is unable to look after themselves a well-earned rest.
At Bramble Lodge, we firmly believe that the body and the mind are very closely linked and that keeping the body active, even for those who are perhaps less mobile than they once were, can also do wonders for their state of mind. As such, we have an Activities Team whose role it is to run a programme of pastimes to stimulate both body and mind.
We like to keep things varied, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy:
- Live music and dancing
- Bingo, quizzes, card games, arts & crafts
- Local day trips
- Reminiscence Therapy
- Light aerobic exercise to music
- Visits from local religious figures
We are also able to offer the following additional services:
- Physiotherapy, Occupational and Speech Therapy
- Aromatherapy & Reflexology
- Library Services
- Outings/Social Activities
